Vietnam is now making it harder for English teacher in Vietnam! And they don’t apply to teaching Mandarin! Only English! But how and why? Is it the end of the easiest job to get in Vietnam era?
That’s what we are going to talk about in today’s video and find out whether there are better alternatives for those who want to be a English teacher in Vietnam!
Previously, the criteria for English teachers in Vietnam might have seemed straightforward. A foreign language teaching certificate, like TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA, was your golden ticket, recognized internationally and endorsed by authorities both at home and in Vietnam. Alongside this, a clean criminal record, a health certificate, and state agency approval were the requirements to obtain a work permit in the teaching sector.
Fast forward to the present, and the last Ministry of Education and Training’s December 6 announcement has set a new course. A comprehensive training program has been established for foreigners engaged in English language instruction at foreign language and information technology centers in Vietnam, as outlined in the Decision issued by the Ministry of Education and Training on December 6.
