Immigrated to the United States at the age of 3, International lawyer Ken Duong (36 years old) missed his hometown and wanted to do something to help the young generation.
The educational concept of “Free English Weekly Education in Saigon” (located on Pasteur Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) was born in 2015 with Ken, who is currently working for a law firm in Vietnam.
When asked why he wanted to teach this class, Ken said, “Developing English skills for Vietnamese students is a way to help them feel confident in communicating, as I see that students in Vietnam are very good but not confident when it comes to communication, if not to say passive or even shy”.
Students playing drama to learn English is a new form of teaching and learning. the theatrical atmosphere becomes more exciting because of the added drama.
According to Ken, in order to help students communicate confidently in English, students need a comfortable teaching environment so that they can talk confidently, without fear of being wrong.
“When you feel confident and comfortable, you will know how to adjust properly. In my free English classes, people are very comfortable communicating in English, even though they make a lot of mistakes, the most important is for them to speak. After, I identify the mistakes and show them the correct structures. “Ken said.
