Chinese Citizens: How to Apply for a Vietnam E-Visa for Tourism and Business Purposes
Vietnam has recently introduced an e-visa program for Chinese nationals, making it easier for them to visit the country. The e-visa, also known as an electronic visa, is an official document that allows Chinese citizens to enter Vietnam for tourism or business purposes. This new initiative aims to boost tourism in Vietnam and improve the overall travel experience for Chinese visitors.
One of the main benefits of the Vietnam e-visa for Chinese nationals is that it can be applied for and issued entirely online. This eliminates the need for Chinese citizens to visit a Vietnamese embassy or consulate in person to apply for a visa. Instead, our law firm can work on the application, pay the visa fee, and receive the e-visa via email within 3 to 5 working days.
The application process for the Vietnam e-visa for Chinese nationals is straightforward and easy to complete. The applicant will be required to provide personal information such as their full name, date of birth, passport number, and current address. They will also need to send us via email a digital passport-style photograph and a copy of their passport.
Once the application has been submitted and the visa fee has been paid, the applicant will receive a confirmation email. They will then be able to download the e-visa and print it out, ready for presentation at the Vietnamese border upon arrival. The e-visa is valid for a maximum of 30 days and allows for a single entry into Vietnam.
It’s worth noting that, while the e-visa program is open to Chinese citizens, it does not apply to holders of Chinese e-passports. Additionally, while Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR passport holders are eligible for the e-visa, they will still need to apply with our law firm.
Overall, the Vietnam e-visa for Chinese nationals is a convenient and efficient way for Chinese citizens to enter Vietnam for tourism or business purposes. It eliminates the need for a physical visa application, making the process faster and more convenient for Chinese visitors. This new initiative is expected to boost tourism in Vietnam and improve the travel experience for Chinese nationals.
China is one of the main source of tourists for Vietnam. Based on the data provided by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Vietnam increased significantly from 2010 to 2019, as the relationship between the two countries has grown stronger and travel restrictions have been lifted. It is also worth noting that in recent years, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Vietnam has been increasing rapidly, driven by the increasing economic cooperation between the two countries and the growth of the Chinese middle class, which has more disposable income to spend on travel.

No, the E-Passport is not accepted. You need to get a normal passport.
